“I will definitely work with Alex again and would recommend him highly. I plan to use him for every piece I publish. I especially liked the quality of his work and valuable advice on how to improve my business well beyond this project. He exceeded my expectations in every way.”

— Eric F.
“Would highly recommend for editing and proof reading; he went the extra mile and was extremely fast in getting the work back to me. I don’t think I can even read as fast as he edits! Amazing stuff! Thank you. ”
— Adam B.

Here are my services and rates. If you have any questions, or if you would like a quote, send me an email at

Remember, these prices are not hard and fast; I am willing negotiate with you to find a price that fits your budget. That said, I do not work for freeDo not hesitate to email me at the link above and ask for a quote. I’ll get back to you quickly, and I promise that we can work something out.

Note: I have a standard non-disclosure policy with all of my clients. I cannot, will not, and should not reveal the titles I have worked on, or the full names of any authors with whom I’ve worked. I accept no official credit for any work I do for you. Pursuant to this, please do not ask me for information about past clients, except for the genres or types of jobs I have worked. I will not tell you.

For academic works, such as college papers: $.05/word.

This service includes a full edit of your work. This entails:

  • Proofreading for grammatical errors
  • Ensuring your work adheres to the style guide (APA, MLA, Chicago Manual of Style, or AP preferred)
  • Editing for phrasing and word choice

Other various services are provided in this process, but there are honestly too many to list here. Suffice it to say that, in the event that I’m editing a college paper, your work will get a significant grade boost after I’m through with it. None of my clients have ever received a grade below an “A-.”

Turnaround time: Usually within 24 hours, possibly longer, depending on length.

For short works of fiction (below 30,000 words): $.04/word.

This service also includes a full edit of your work. This entails:

  • Proofreading for grammatical errors
  • Plot analysis and critique
  • Word choice and phrasing edits

Again, there are a lot of other services that will be provided along with these. Be forewarned: I will be blunt. If things in your piece simply do not work, I will tell you so.

Turnaround time: Usually within 24 to 48 hours, depending on length and complexity.

For longer works of fiction, such as novels, I will need to speak with you directly so that we can work out a price and timetable that is agreeable.

Each of these services must be submitted to me electronically. If you are using Microsoft Word, I will return to you three copies: one will be the original, one will be my edited copy with all of my changes and edits marked using the “Track Changes” feature so that you can see everything I had done, and one will be my edited version without the changes tracked, ready for submission.

I am available for all types of writing commissions, fiction or otherwise.

Standard Writing: 6¢/ word

“Standard Writing” is any type of writing that will be published under my name. This means that am attributed as the writer of the piece.

Ghostwriting: 7¢ +

“Ghostwriting” is when my name will not appear on the publication or submission. Note that the price is listed as a minimum of 7¢ per word. This means that it can be higher than this, and I will need to learn about the project before I can give you a firm quote.

All of these prices can be negotiated. I want to work with you to provide these services at a price that you can afford. It is important to me that people get the help that they need; it is sort of the whole design philosophy of this site. Please contact me if you have any questions. I promise you that I will reply as quickly as possible. Again, you can email me at:
